frank will prob be fiona apple and drop every 7-8 years going forward
but kendrick had such an insane run what like 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017... this silence just seems a tad out of character
though id say frank gave us like three albums between 2016 and 2022... blonde, endless, 2017 singles and 2019/20 singlesYea I totally forgot Kendrick actually was dropping fairly frequently actually at first

he dropped more life on march, didnt drop any videos, didnt push any song, didnt tour, practically didnt do any features for the rest of the year. only reason kendrick "dominated" 2017 was because drake took a break.

I don't think that's the reason, I think Drake just doesn't want to drop albums in back to back years
More Life was less focused to be an album so he just called it playlsit and didn't do a rollout
Kendrick did an amazing job with DAMN. even better than Views imo (because he dropped videos unlike Views) and imo the concept was cool and I played it throughout the year
In retrospect it's not his best album but it's really good for a mainstream album and a lot of non rap fans listened to it despite being on the heavier side lyrically and topically
