Your arguments don’t sound like you love it either
It's a fun album
Never understood the hate
People thought his lyrics were uninspired and lazy. The beats were carrying him. I personally like tho, but when you compare it to his rapping on his other projects…it’s a weak album

Never understood the hate
Nobody goes to Jay for fun music most of the time

I guess we were looking for a different sound back then, I remember when it dropped but it still sounds good 10 years later
Jay just wasn’t really trying on the album.
No true standout verses, and the subject matter is repetitive
It’s a shame because the production is phenomenal, and the album is super polished.
If you have those beats to an inspired Jay Z, it could’ve been a top tier Jay album. He would’ve glided over the whole album
The promotion for it was lame, I remember those Samsung commercials lol. MCHG was basically used to advertise Samsung products. One of the reasons it gets so much hate.
I just hope Jay keeps his discography to end on 4:44. That’s a perfect album to end a career on
The internet told us to hate a bunch of albums post his come back from retirement. Only one that I think is valid to hate on is maybe BP3 but even then it’s joints on there I like.
Yes we do
So that’s why 4:44 is considered a classic and MCHG isn’t with very different subject matters and song approaches? I respectfully disagree that’s what people go into Jay albums wanting/expecting
I think MCHG and Yeezus are very interesting as a double feature. Reveals a lot about Ye and Jay's different approaches as artists

You're right, his only two albums. How could I forget
