I remember the first one was free on epic game store but I forgot to cop. So it’s a soulslike shooter?
Been chatting about it a bit in the Sony thread. Yeah it's pretty great so far, an upgrade from 1 in every way.
Upgrading guns is annoying though. High cost investment to upgrade makes it hard to experiment with new guns. I'm basically stuck using my beginner shotgun and revolver.

its like gears of war meets dark souls.

First one was amazing, had every weapon unlocked at max level just started playing this one last night
Sucks I got the train encounter dungeon glitched out so I’m missing out on the plasma gun on my first play through
Messing around with my challenger build, haven't actually fought anything with this ring/amulet setup yet but the numbers are interesting:
Got my damage reduction up to 71.1%, and when I get hit, for 20s, that increases to 81.1%, then popping my skill puts me at 91.1% for 25s. I only have a max of 50% of my health though.

that sounds insane
im only like level 8 but i got some cool ass health regen rings so its hard for me to even die as the challenger archetype
I’m seeing this being advertised everywhere, any good ?
It's pretty great. Very dark souls-esque "vague storytelling," and various builds to make/weapons to build around. Not as polished as Souls/Elden Ring but very fun and atomspheric nonetheless.
It's also only $50 instead of $70 for the base game.

Yeah man it’s pretty fun

I want to support an UE5 souls like shooter especially since it got dlc coming and would be fun to play this in between starfield and likely the inevitable Madden

Its solid. Gameplay is tight, lots of potential builds and weapons to use, though just like souls there's some obvious choices that are more OP than others. Limited number of bosses is a con and scaling is an issue, but the coolest feature is that each world has basically 2 different potential paths/layouts.
There's lots of secret s*** and puzzles to solve. Story is pretty vague but discovering what happened to whatever world your at is neat
