the reason they had to ban kids is cuz parents aren't parenting no more
I've actually been to this restaurant a few times. Not a bad place, pretty good Italian food. It's of those hoighty-toighty kinda joints, at least that's how it presents itself. Which was always funny to me because their main dish they pride themselves the most on is spaghetti...something that's extremely simple and of course kids love. Which is why it was an easy restaurant for young parents, grandparents, etc to bring kids to which was a regular thing. It's in Tinton Falls, NJ. Monmouth County to be specific. Many rich folk and of course Italian folk in that area who do the whole big Sunday dinner kinda thing, so naturally families go there often.
The few times I have been there when kids were present it was the usual thing with kids in restaurants. Yeah they be loud and they be messy as hell, it's what comes with kids in a restaurant. So I totally understand why they banned kids. The ban is only on children younger than ten years old, which in my opinion is pretty fair. They just don't want kids who can't behave well in the restaurant. I'm not really against a ban on children in a restaurant, there are many restaurants that do stuff like this
This is fire
Lmaooo this is about 15 from me, it’s been a pretty big story for people around here.
I’ve seen everyone who shared it agree with the restaurant too
It seems like it’s been a great marketing move as well.
One thing bout rich folk in Monmouth County, they can't f***in stand kids
Any parents give their 2 cents? Would like to hear their POV
I'm probably gonna hear about it at work tomorrow. There's a few seniors at the gym I work at who rave about the place, so I'll ask them how they feel about it.

This is also a big fact. There are definitely 6-9 year olds who know how to act at restaurants, I was one of them. But I totally understand a place of business just wanting to nip all that in the bud and ban children younger than ten. Most times ten years know how to act in public around their parents. End of the day why should your business have to suffer cause some a****** parents don't wanna raise their kids right?

Personally I was always more of a fan of Nonna's and Il Nido. Gabriella's near Red Bank is also fantastic. Nettie's is good but I just find their menu to be very basic, it's safe though.

Oh nah I live in Middlesex, but I live off 9 and right near 18 so getting to and from Monmouth is easy lol. Also went to HS in Holmdel so I got familiar with many of the spots out there.

Society should be divided between people with kids and people without them I've had enough of damn annoying kids ruining the vibe
Having said that the real problem is bad parenting my sister bring her kids out no problem...
the reason they had to ban kids is cuz parents aren't parenting no more
this is the absolute truth
don't see how this is controversial. we acknowledge actively that there are many public spaces that don't allow kids (i.e. bars, fine dining). There's a reason there's a literal distinction in calling some place "family restaurants" while others just "restaurants". looking at the place it's clearly an adult-centric place considering the emphasis put on cocktails on their website and the need for reservations. parents who tried taking their kids here are weirdos
