Dude...seriously. there is no conspiracy 😂 thriller's last certification was in 2017. And it was 33x platinum. There is no way in hell it magically sold over 5 million units in less than 3 years considering it only gained a platinum certificatiom each year prior

1) You cant cite some obscure random website for actual sales data mate. It is entirely possible that the eagles album outsold Thriller
2) The statement the Riaa doesnt want to do the certification is FALSE. The RIAA is OBLIGATED to certify if the criteria is met once a label sumbits sales data. If they do not certify that is 100% on grounds for a lawsuit, certification is the job of the LABEL. The "estate" asking for recertification means literally nothing as they dont own the catalogue of MJ. If they did they would simply have to submit the data which they didn't. .Stop b****ing. In time certifications will come out
Looking through the Wikipedia page they have a section about possibly false sales:

From 1993 to 1995 the album received certifications for an additional eight million units, yet per Nielsen SoundScan it sold fewer than a million copies during that time. The album sold just over five million copies from 1991, when SoundScan began tracking, to 2006, although certifications indicate 17 million albums shipped between that time.2628 It has accrued 6.4 million in units consumed from 1991 to February 2020.29 In 2018 Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer stated the album had only sold 2.3 million album-equivalent units from 2006 to 2018 yet it received certification for nine million units during that time. A representative from Jackson's estate stated "The notion that they can go back 10, 15, 20 or 30 years and find units that were never counted before is absurd, they reviewed these records before.
