EXCITED FOR THE 3RD

I mean it was fun enough. But this isn’t touching the first one in any way. 7/10

Didn't like the ending and the first one captured better agatha christie vibes with the whole old mansion rich family type of vibes. But this one still entartaining af i would give a 7.5 /10

The cinematography was weirdly pretty bad, didn't feel like a real movie at points, stark contrast to the great-looking original

film was decent but:

• first ten/twenty minutes are so bad and like they're written by some dude spending too much time on twitter
• conclusion was kinda ehhhh. didn't hate it but yeah
• I get the whole idea of knives out and I guess this film was to sort of deconstruct the traditional murder mystery and change the usual symmetry/structure of them and I enjoyed that in the first but it feels like there's nothing new or surprising in how it plays out. The film seems to hit most if not all the same notes of the first, even down to the 'poor poc character' as the audience stand in/morally pure character.

Don't really see how there's enough juice in this for a third film but dude getting paid i guess

I don’t see how. The characters in this one were complete caricatures, the humor didn’t land and immediately felt dated, endless celebrity cameos ruined the immersion, and the “mystery” isn’t even solvable because they withhold key information until they just feed you the plot via flashbacks. Significant downgrade imo.

This one definitely takes itself less serious and is more of a comedy than a mystery. It's completely different than the first.

Still a very good movie and had fun watching it as much as the first tbh.
