Bay Area connection. These guys as per usual being homies and making dope collabs. This was one of 2Pac's last features before his death and it released around that same time which made it even more eerie Dope track. Perfect for the Halloween season

Richie Rich has one of the illest Rap voices ever

It is rumored that Snoop Dogg was influenced by him. In Addition, Snoop Dogg got the name for his old group, 213 (with Warren G and Nate Dogg), from Richie Rich's own group called 415. Pretty interesting stuff

yeah the bay n la used to be really connected in the 80s n 90s which fell out in the 2000s unfortunately

but rbl posse. deltron 3030 + del (who is also ice cubes cousin, too short, mac mall, e40, spice 1, mistah fab, the luniz all them niggas was back n forth with la - ice cube and 2pac bridged a lot of it which would spread to dudes like snoop

too short is one of the earliest rappers and especially for west along with ice t which is also why almost every LA nigga is cool with short lmao

the bayarea has a lot of connects to the south up from the 80s to the 2000s from scarface n master p to lil john etc. and s*** like Zaytoven is originally from the bay from e40s camp which he then moved to atlanta in the mid to late 2000s

because a lot of black people in the mid 1900s migrated from the south to the bay, while black people from the midwest/east migrated to LA

It's very interesting. The Great Migration

Offtopic, but I don't hear a lot discuss about folks from the South migrating to the East Coast. I think it's an underrated aspect that kind of gets ignored but you can kind of feel it in a lot of Mid School Hip Hop imo

Wtf this like the best song like ever

nothing can ever match the atmosphere, the isolation + paranoia + ANIMONSITY + claustrophobic vibe, the detailed storytelling, the movie-like quality, the rawness, the crazy beat & the concept of it all along with all the crazy effects and 4th wall breaking without being so on the nose or corny

    i never tell a lie
