Great finale

It was. But the first 2 seasons are lightning in a bottle. If they really only made the show 4 seasons and the plot could move forward I think it would still be top quality.

But they're contracted for 10 seasons so it has to be this perennial random adventure of the week for the rest of the show with very minimal changes here and there.

One last sparkle to follow in my light

I thought this season was fine. Way better than last. Y’all just want plot every episode and that’s never been a thing and will never be.

this was cool

Season 5 was forgettable but the final was worth it. This was never going to be one of those episodic shows that just gets stale, tv is different now and people want evolution and growth with the characters. Rick and Morty is at it's best when they do episodes like the final.

holy s*** i think that was the best episode of this show yet for me. i honestly never expected them to actually do it.

"Evil" Morty is just evil because thats what the Ricks that built the citadel wanted us to believe

Yeah but they know they're locked in for 5 more seasons. Not a whole lot you can do to move the plot forward when you could prolly finish the plot in 5 or so episodes. So it's gonna inch forward

Yeah after those final two episodes, I rank the seasons as s2 > s1 > s5 > s3 > s4

Lowkey the overarching plot episodes are literally the least funny too. Dudes just want to soyface at evil morty or some s***

Evil Morty wanted out of the simulation

well now that they wrapped up the evil morty plotline, i doubt we will ever get a cohesive plot again

i took the complete opposite from this finale.

completely destroying the multiverse and having morty find out rick's entire backstory means there's no way it can just go back to normal now, no? whole dynamic of the show has shifted.
