This season is starting off like the last one: incredible opener followed by a pretty average episode. The show has always been a little inconsistent though, so I'm used to it. Crafting 10 Total Rickall-tier episodes in a row just isn't going to happen.

The one thing I really like so far is that they've got the tone right. It's not a bunch of forced family drama and writer insertion with adventures used as window dressing. The action comes first and the melancholy goes along with it.

I thought both episodes were great
