Really great episode

Loved the Severance and Us references

Season 6 is phenomenal so far

This only episode 4 though lol

1 3 and 4 were fire but episode 2 was meh to me

Like that they did an Us parody

That being said Rick & Morty is lowkey turning into Family Guy humor

Episode had quite a few references. But the ones that stood out to me most were references from 'Us' and 'Severance'

Also the scene where the family is fighting each other, and everytime they knock each other out they turn in to their night versions.
And when Jerry gets a hard on after being choked

Episode was funny as hell

The first episode felt like it just because it was so cynical and self aware and they kept explaining the jokes

This episode it just felt like mindless fun

Last week could’ve been a family guy premise (already happened tbh with Brian and robot Brian) but it had great cringe humor that family guy couldn’t pull off

Overall I think the writing feels different

I dont get why R&M still gets heat for it's one-off episodes .
The showrunners said they will be making this show for a longgg time, so it's no surprise some episodes aren't going to push the main stories forward

And that's fine imo, as long as the one-off episodes are quality that's all I care about

I’m more pissy at them making fun of the fans for wanting lore, it’s just boring like yes we know the characters know their in a show… would rather them give this up for more one off episodes

That being said some one off episodes are so weak like the sperm episode I think at least with plot progression people feel satisfied that they waited a year for this

The best episodes in Rick & Morty are one offs that also say something about the characters

Like Rick potion or the unity episode or Whirly dirly

yeah I worded that weird LOL s5 was just not it for me at all, but this def feels like an improvement
