Not a big deal at all. Lots of good impersonators out there and last season was the best in a minute. Im pretty sure the newer writing staff had more creative control.

I feel like the overarching theme of the convo is whether or not the show will still be up to par without Roiland's writing. And his writing isn't all that complex. Anyone who has worked with him for a season or 2 should be able to keep the same plot/tone

Not sure where the show will go from here quality wise, though. I don't know how much of an impact he had in the writer's room, but it will be very difficult to find actors to do the same vocal performance for Rick and for Morty

There are likely thousands of people who can pull off a Rick and/or Morty voice

They won't have too much of a problem finding voice actors for the characters

Although I’m having a hard time thinking of a show that improved or kept the same level of quality after a key person left. I can think of plenty of bad examples (community s4, boondocks s4, scrubs s9, etc.)

They made the right choice canning him but I really got no interest in another voice actor taking over all the roles Roiland played
