For real, her vocal timbre and singing style has always been refreshing to me.

Rihanna has a pretty basic discography with a lot of dated songs, she was never considered a great performer (which is why no one ever talks about her tours), and her voice was unique but it’s obvious she never cared about it.

And I’m not trying to drag Rihanna cause I do like her, but it seems like her hiatus helped clean the public perception about her, basically like a Mandela effect. You know how we all tend to romanticize the past… She was always dragged for carelessness on music and behavior off stage, but suddenly now it seems like she was the second coming of Michael Jackson, that everyone bought all her albums, that everyone always went to her tours. And since we are in the age of relatability where we have to identify with our favorite celebs, people also tend to like her because she’s not “too good”

She always had a good ear for picking hits and great looks and fashion sense (I would say her style might be as important to her image as her music).

Anyway, I'm curious about how a new Rihanna album would perform when she has now all these new expectations placed upon her that she didn't have back in the day
