They have, American animators have worked on anime for years. The Last Naruto Movie, that Wano arc episode of One Piece with Kid and Law vs Big Mom, even the sound design for the 90s Jojo OVA was done by Lucas Films I believe...

The anime industry is arguably more grueling tbh.

The 90s block of Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life and Rugrats was amazing, but by the time most of KTT2 were watching it, it was just a Spongebob and live-action machine padded out by mickey mouse contenders like Fairly Odd Parents

i remember like 5 or 6 years ago when they literally had nothing but Teen titans Go for 12 hours or Gumball.
