An actual staple to my childhood; and as goofy as he and all his characters were, he always came through as a wise father figure when needed.

Its not a simp thing if thats what you're implying, cuz i dont like her beyond friendship, and i get what youre saying about the jim crow connotation (and she doesnt call me it, i said she just says it), but at the end of the day she's honest and has my back, which is my point. And honestly is the buidling block of friendship.
Believe it or not, shes never done wrong by me, and when i need her to help me or ask for advice shes nothing but nice and on point
. Shes a lot nicer than a lot of people ive also hung out with, who lie and cant ever be bothered to help me when theres nothing in it for them. That's not to say white > black, because i have many friends, black girls and bros who range from "ratchet" to educated who ride for me the same way. Granted, ive never met a racist white man IRL, but again i say its actions. Id say dont judge a book by its cover, but maybe its more the balance between good and evil.
I feel everyone is flawed in their own way, the ones who arent hiding it tend to be the ones you can trust, but i can see why its a deal breaker for you. Its a situation were we gotta agree to disagree because im sure it all sounds like bullshit to you, but im sure you also have friends who may have done wrong, or do wrong, but dont go overboard.
