    I hope in the next trilogy or whatever there's no more skywalkers, plapatines, or kenobis all of that s***. the whole bloodline and prophecy stuff has done nothing but make these movies worse

    Ima just say it

    Ep 8 should've not only been wildly different as a love triangle story between Rey/Finn/Kylo and ended with Rey leaving with Kylo but it also should've ended with Rey killing Luke (revealed to be a setup between Luke and Rey to fully gain the trust of Kylo in a flashback revelation to Finn in Ep 9)

    I don't think Rian ever wanted all the OT characters gone but he wanted new stories to be told with them. I feel like the people who think this think the message of TLJ is "Let the past die" even though it's said by the main villain who fails 20 mins after he says this because he doesn't remember the past.
