i dont think reshoots are a bad thing episode 7 was heavily reshot too but yeah there was a different film at one point

yeah I know TFA had reshoots too and this definitely feels different, TFA still flowed like a proper movie from beginning to end

with this the editing here is so jarring and it really feels like there are important scenes missing (there’s so much important information just happens offscreen and is just told to you) reminds me of the theatrical cut of BVS

Actually I really liked 7 and 8. I don’t think they are great movies, but I enjoy them quite a lot. By that being said, I’m not satisfied with the ending of this trilogy and the whole saga. I like the idea of Palpatine coming back, but the way they did it felt so forced and rushed. He was the main villain throughout 1-6 and everybody thought he was dead and they just bring him back like that? At the very begining of the movie? This should’ve been huge, but it felt forced and predictable. (Since they showed us Palpatine in the trailers) And that’s one of the biggest problems I have with this movie. So many things that should’ve been great moments, felt rushed and predictable. Kylo turning, him seeing Han, Rey being a Palpatine, Luke talking to Rey as a force ghost, evil Rey being a vision/dream, Knights of Ren and probably the biggest starship battle of all time. The way they showed us these moments didn’t feel special at all. Especially that (imo) disappointing ending with force ghost Luke & Leia. S*** was so predictable.

The fact that the didn’t show Anakin was even worse. 1-6 is basically his story and throughout 7 and 8 the main villain, his grandson, is worshiping him like some kind of god and they don’t feel like bringing him back at all? He should’ve been the reason Kylo turning.
