A lot of people are saying this is the antithesis to TLJ but there are still similar sentiments in both. The biggest one is that you have the freedom to forget your past/history and become whoever you want to be in the future. Kylo says this in TLJ to Rey. By the end of TROS, she decides she has the freedom to be the person she wants, and honors the Skywalker name. Just bc she was born into a lineage of evil doesn’t mean she has to repeat the same actions. Which was one of the main themes of TLJ. Kylo also speaks on this when he talks to Han, he tells him it’s too late to change, but then realizes he has the power to become whoever he feels he wants to be no matter his past

Even though I enjoyed JJ’s vision of this trilogy this sounds really interesting too

I just really wish they would’ve gave the entire trilogy to one person, either Rian or JJ. Not switch back and forth to people who have opposite opinions. Should’ve planned it better

Would have accepted all of this better if it had been set up in the second act. But what i don’t like is that TROS felt the need to retcon questions that fans didn’t like the answer to and thus it wasted time doing that instead of providing a more original engaging story

they're gonna have to remodel everything at Galaxy's Edge because no one is gonna give a f*** about this trilogy in like 3 years lmao

Families/casuals won’t give a f*** about the divisive nature of this trilogy, they’ll be putting money in Mickey’s grip for years to come after this. No remodel needed anytime soon
