Not really comparable imo. In a fit of rage he chops vader's hand off and immediately realizes what he has done. He wont let hate consume him. That IS the point where Luke cements himself as a jedi as he rejects the Dark side entirely.

he said he considered it for the briefest of moments and it left him with nothing but shame.
characters like Luke (especially luke) are characters who arenāt infallible, if you were sensing nothing but a future of misery all because of one person then youāre definitely capable of losing that hope.
Luke has NEVER been as strong willed as you both make him out to be man gave up so many f***ing times or treated things as āimpossibleā Agree to disagree. I personally feel like the movie didnt do his character justice at all. But it's cool if you enjoyed it. Something for everyone I guess.

This man George didn't even plan on having the Death Star attack the Rebel Base in Ep 4. His editors added that in... the most tense scene in the whole movie!!
