AshTheRobotAnyway though, I feel like Star Wars community is overreacting to this again.
I’m sure it’s not a very good movie, but at the same time I doubt it’s as much as a train wreck as everyone is shouting.
Trilogy is overall fine, but a huge disappointment and mis opportunities.
But imo, Force Awakens and TLJ are good films.At the very least, I can’t take anyone who says “these movies make me appreciate the prequels” serious.
Prequels are still way worse than anything Disney have us.
It was a really good movie in my opinion
Some s*** did feel really forced, but thats what happens when tlj didnt advance the plot enough. We can nitpick but overall it was solid and i enjoyed it

nah they really do make you appreciate the prequels. Like them or not Lucas had an actual vision for them and stuck to it. The Disney trilogy has no reason to exist outside of box office gross. 7 reset the saga narrative back to 4 and 9 just set back to 6. It contributed nothing to the narrative of the series.

9 wasn't a bad movie just felt so sterile. I felt nothing for anything happening on screen. Felt like a movie made by some people who were afraid Last Jedi damaged the brand value.
