Movie was fine. The stakes were so low that I really had no expectations. It's filled with fan service and redundancy but that felt like it was a more of a result of the larger situation that Star Wars is currently in. There are a lot of really creative and sincere ideas in the film but I felt like it was dealt a bad hand by the prior movie. Just really disappointed in how this trilogy was handled in general

I need to speak my thoughts So here's a long block of text

Positives

• Best looking ST film by far everything looks amazing.
• Aliens were used nicely in this i thought they were pretty meh in the other 2. - ST Trio had very good chemistry
• Both Rey vs kylo fights were stunning

Meh

• it's a little too obvious that leia was originally gonna have a much bigger role in this film. They tried their best with the corpse footage tho. I liked seeing her train with a saber.
• I liked all the kylo ren stuff until he got redeemed. Not only does he not say much it just felt like JJ was too scared to let him live and face the consequences for his actions.

Negatives

• JJ was such a p**** this movie, The only hero who died was liea. Rey should've killed chewie with the lightning or C3P0s memory should've been wiped permanently.
• It's crazy how much this movie tries to retcon TLJ when all the best moments in this is stuff that was built up in TLJ. That and it's inconsistent with what it want's to retcon
• The Emperor was so terribly used in this. I had no problems with him coming back but JJ just ripped off his s***ty EU story
• what happned to rey losing her force bond Ben? It's happens once during her training and then never happens again? also didn't they close off their force bond in TLJ?
• the whole 3rd act was f***ing cheese tbh s*** felt like a disney movie.
• Knights of ren were garbage worse then phasma and boba
