I need to see it again I really loved it. Palpatines death the kiss and snokes identity were wack but the rest was tight. Really wish Finn got to confess his love for Rey but in my head canon they f*** and have a bunch of biracial force sensitives. Finally seen a yellow saber in a film, kylos redemption, the amount of leia and the importance of her role. Best in this trilogy easily imo

People putting tlj so high is f***in hilarious half the movie is finn and rose doing literally nothing, they made a mockery of Luke, Rey is alone 90% of the time, forced comedy throughout the whole thing. The throne room is great but that’s it

  • these 3 movies are all so different it’s so obvious there was no plan

Thats a cop out answer and you know it. Anakin literally destroyed the Jedi order for a power that Rey and Kylo just causally go around and use.

Palpatine used it to kill Padme and save Anikan at the end of 3. That was implied before this movie....

My two main complaints: the beginning felt off and the pacing was weird. They throw a lot at you at once and it gets a little jumbled. That and the scenes with Leia felt really unnatural. I kind of give them a pass on that because there wasn’t too much they could do with Carrie Fisher dying but man it was so obvious that they just spliced in unused footage and wrote dialogue around it lol

Other than that I liked the movie a lot. They undoubtedly could have planned the whole trilogy out better but man I love spending time in this world with these characters so when I walked out of the theater I was happy

JJ fixing what rian ruined >>>>

When rey throws the saber into the fire and luke catches it and says “a jedi’s weapon needs to be treated with more respect” (don’t remember verbatim) was a direct shot a rian making luke throw the saber after rey gives it to him in TLJ

i deadass think there’s some animosity between jj and rian, jj was prolly mad as s*** rian tore down a lot of stuff he built

I honestly truly doubt he did
if there’s weird s*** in star wars movies there’s likely a reference to it somewhere in EU, but like why should you have to go outside the movie to get s*** in the movie explained. it’s why Destiny was such a hollow failure of a game
