It’s the least accessible mainstream genre and it seems like after the 2016 new wave of RnB the genre has gone to s***. Currently it’s the females that are holding it down like Summer, HER, and SZA. Drakes sons like party, 6LACK, and Bryson have fell off with Tory having to use 2000s nostalgia to stay afloat. Even the Weeknd’s faux rnb has flopped with his latest efforts to comeback failing miserably(you hate to see it tbh).
