Honestly tho, just enjoy the scenery and silence of the non major cities you’re visiting, are you based in the east coast or is this a new experience completely?

A day isn’t nearly enough for any of these cities besides Portland and Providence

If you’re going to Maine try to hit Acadia National park. Climate change it ruining the area. Might not be able to see the greenery in a few years

    Beautiful place.

If you're in CT. You gotta stop by New Haven and get the CT pizza. Modern, Sally, Frank Pepe's, and Zuppardi's.

Honestly the best time to roadtrip the east coast would be either the summertime or early/mid fall. Preferably mid fall. Lotta great nature and hiking trails in NJ, PA, NY state where you can take full advantage of autumn foliage without everything being dead while still having comfortable temperatures.

If you do plan an east coast trip again the future I'd personally recommend checking out what NJ has to offer. Fort Lee is a great place to see if you're a film buff, the Barrymore Film Center is a great theater/museum to check out. Count Basie Center for the Arts, or simply the Count Basie Theater, in Red Bank is also a cool spot for live music.

Since it seems like you're traveling north on your east coast trip, when you're traveling through NY State I do actually recommend checking out West Point. Yeah f*** the military and all that, but it is a legitimately cool campus and the surrounding area is beautiful in the fall and winter time.
