Doubt they’ll rewatch it again.
I’ve never rewatched one of his movie, or had the urge to watch them again. Stopped caring about his movies.
Way more entertaining s*** to watch.
Plus there’s so much better long movies to watch and actually not feel like you wasted 3 plus hours.

Jul 17, 2021RASIEOut 1, noli me tangere (1971) is one of my all time favorites and its 12.5 hours long, which is def the longest one for me by couple hours
Then a couple other favorites are Six Fois Deux / Sur et sous la communication (1976), and Dead Souls (2018) — which are 10 hours and 8 hours long, respectively.
After that the longest films in my favorites film start dropping down a lot more in runtime:
• Histoire(s) du Cinema – 4.5 hours
• The Age of Medici – 4.5 hours
• Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler – 4.5 hours
• Love Exposure – 4 hours
• World on a Wire – 3.5
• The 47 Ronin – 3.5And so on...
most of mine are on this list
would add la belle noiseuse. eight hours don't make a day would make the cut as a fave if it wasn't a tv mini series.
such a great anomality in fassbinders oeuvre. just straight up wholesomeness. whenever im feeling down I just watch an episode or so. berlin alexanderplatz is great but not a fave tbhsince 3.5h seems to be the cutoff here i won't put celine et julie vont en bateau which is a bit shorter but def a fave
