I think that goes both ways, honestly always felt like Marci is mad underrated as a producer.

It used to be just single loops on RR, Reloaded, etc. On Mt Marci there's a lot of signature ALC switches in the loops

I just think Roc has been of the pioneers of 'toned down hip hop production' of this kind which a lot of producers (including Al) seems to have been inspired by. I dont know what to call it...
