The delays make it feel like a genuine remnant of another age, like we've had new Star Wars, we've gone past peak Marvel
There is no cultural object that has this level of anticipation for it and I can't imagine another one coming along any time soon short of some kind of revolutionary iPhone-level leap in consumer technology
