Will SimpI'd say so. Even IV was the fastest selling entertainment product (not just video game) of all time when it dropped and the franchise is exponentially bigger now because of V
S*** is kinda crazy when you think about how many massive franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Avatar etc there are out there. And a video game got em all wiped down
Well, I mean it makes sense. Video games are 3x the cost of a movie ticket and have in-game transactions

But they’re usually anywhere from 5 to sometimes even 50 times longer as well.

It's still pretty wild that GTA, a video game franchise that really only blew up like 25 years ago, is outdoing movies from established franchises like Star Wars and Lord of The Rings
I feel like if it was just because of the price compared to other media, GTA wouldn't be the only video game up there like this

No it’s definitely the most popular video game franchise, but what I’m saying is that you can’t really compare the gross of a single game that costs $60-$70 for almost a decade and a movie’s gross when it’s selling tickets for $15-$20 and is only in theaters for like two months, especially when that game has additional in-game transactions that movies don’t have
