Were gta iv or v the best games of all time at launch ?
Yes because both games are classics
Crazy part is I would damn near refuse to play this game in party chat because I want to hear the game only

Genuine question what other games are your top ( non rockstar )

Way too hard lmao but I think Rockstar never really missed with GTA even when they‘re not all perfect, they‘re still one of the best
Prolly something like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cuphead (personal fav), LOU Part 1 and Ocarina of Time
Some more casual stuff like the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series (loved it as a young kid), OG CoD MW2, BO1 and 2

Real I was just curious
I’m just interested in how they serve all their various fans . Really there will be mods to make this game like all their other games in different waves . Driving they nailed . Shooting I want better ai and less waves of enemies . Police 6 stars has to return .
Just started TBOGT
TLAD better
Will play after and report back!
Hot take, but curated is not bad
I played that joint on its terms instead of wishing it let you loose like dishonored or Skyrim, and I had a blast. But then again, I find the Hitman games a little overwhelming (still haven't left Paris in world of Assassination) so this is clearly a mileage thing
Curating isn't bad, I just felt like the missions themselves were way less fun than the real game/free roam. Just two completely different design philosophies it felt like. It's, of course, a dope story, cinematic moments, XYZ. but it just felt like a lot of handholding taking me from point a to point b while the free roam is where the immersion and the fun comes through, through deep interaction with the world.

I think rockstar wanted to express a concrete set of themes in their writing and built the story experience around that instead of making the missions a playground experience
Not to say they couldn’t have communicated it in such a style but the structure informs the narrative

I remember I failed a shootout mission because I went like legit 10ft in front of the group. I hopped over a train and failed.
It literally said I went "too far away from the group," but I was just shooting at the guys that were spawning in front of me. B****es weren't even far from me.
I was so pissed

Definitely. I do still think 5 aged poorly though after rdr2 blew it out of the water
Kinda feel like this game is gonna come out unfinished
Keep being suggested GTA V and post-Covid GTA Online hit-pieces on YouTube which have lowered my expectations for the game. New perspectives which I hadn’t considered before.
TLAD better
I think perhaps, maybe, the worst thing to ever have “Grand Theft Auto” attached to it.

TLAD is pretty overhated. Like yeah, it's not as good as TBOGT, but the guns and tools are fun to use. And I like the grungy filter

Idk you can‘t compare both
V literally came out on PS3

Yeah the fact that they’re hiding it so much is very concerning
