i agree with this tbh, the leaks have been entirely in my realm of expectations

This is from Silent of SilentPatch fame, this is the guy that makes the big patches to get 3D-era GTA games running well on modern systems and he makes patches for other older games too

I mean the world in rdr2 did trascend gaming at the time

I think a problem is that people are hyped up at like Cyberpunk 2077 levels and even higher

I think people will expect a level of immersion and life simulation that even Rockstar can't reach all the way, but I think they'll get somewhat close

GTA transcending gaming is not limited to graphics and game engine (which are based on old leaks). Imagine seeing these leaks and drawing conclusions on the game already lol. I'll see you next week

I think the GTA transcends gaming crowd is still too attached to the first time they played SA and when it blew their minds. But GTA is not really that unique of a concept anymore and I would argue there are some open worlds out there better than anything GTA has ever done.

Its basically all of us clinging to nostalgia and trying to get wowed again the same way when we found out that there is a game out there where you can steal every car, shoot anyone and the world is bigger than anything ever. I am not hyped for GTA VI because I am expecting the most corporate GTA ever. It will be a good game, just not anything that will excite me probably.

Apart from looking a little rough around the edges, I think the footage shows how f***ing boring this games going to be. Cancelling my pre-order and selling my PS5 pro
