bro risking his life over a video game 😭

In general I do wonder why so many that love Red Dead Redemption 2 never really talk about Red Dead Redemption 1. Similar to how many rave about V or V online dont really talk about IV online or San Andreas mission structure . When I discuss games I kind of discuss which each one did well or didn't . Hoping GTA they really learn from all the games and feedback. RDR2 dope huge world attention to detail but nothing about the story or gameplay loop holds me that long compared to my backlog for many reasons. Glad others love it to death . As the Rockstar games have gotten more cinematic and on rails they have been hit or miss for me in some ways

Edit post update . V was just too easy of a game. IV the difficulty was just right which made it more rewarding.

My main issue with RDR2 and what I meant last week by its bad game design - Rockstar made the game feel and play a certain way because they wanted it to be realistic/immersive. But you can always only push that so far, it's a video game. E.g You have Arthur eating, but then some players will be asking why he never needs to take a s***. Rockstar not implementing a dookie mechanic, so the game already isn't completely realistic. So why chase the heights of "realism/immersion" to the point where Arthur moves like a disabled penguin, you force players to sit through a few hours of looting/skinning animations by the end of their playthrough and you make things more inconvenient for the player by unequipping their weapons whenever they get off a horse?

Rockstar had to ask themselves "We can either make this aspect realistic but it's tedious/frustrating or compromise a bit to make it more convenient for the player even though it wouldn't work this way in real life" when designing certain gameplay aspects. And they went with the former too often with RDR2 imo. You're chasing an unattainable goal because your game won't ever be completely realistic and made playing your game more tedious/frustrating than it needed to be in the process. That's not good game design

Still a 9/10 game and a pinnacle of the industry in many ways. Still want GTA VI to learn from and carry over certain aspects from RDR2. But niggas will act like nothing is wrong with RDR2, it's beyond criticism when they know they'd hate getting their hands on VI and Jason/Lucia move like Arthur did

To the people who keep saying this why would a billion dollar company resort to some ghetto s*** like this? Why would they want their game shown off in this unflattering light when it's been worked on for so long and they know people are expecting.... perfection basically lol

Lmao billion dollar brands have been doing the most street x wall promotion to appeal to vox populi since forever

    What makes this new

  • Condome eyes once again crying why people are liking V and RDR2
