    Moving the goalpost

No I’m not. I’m saying rockstar is often the jack of trades master of none . They can always add activities post launch but launch . Land . There are plenty of activities in the game both shown in gameplay Netflix and listed in the preview . People already saying “ I want more “

I’m saying the more you add the less polished the ones you have are

All I’m saying is it’s not that hard to build a surfing game with 1-2 more degrees of complexity than that game

What’s the last surfing game you played since it’s so easy or the last time you surfed in a game ?

  • There hasn’t been a highly rated surfing game in 23 years . If it was that easy there would be MANY.

Again been able to do that in every single GTA for past 25 years .

And my point is saying “well you’ve never done that irl so why would you want it in a game” is stupid lol

  • Scatt

    will this have foreskin customization

There will be foreskin mechanics as well as girth control and ball shrinking

SOURCE: I fought hard for the p**** development team over at Rockstar between 2017-2020. I was apart of all daily operations both in the office and at home and was employee of the month 3 times.

Feature creep exist . If the game had everything people wanted at launch it wouldn’t come out until 2035 and would not be able to run on current consoles . Do I wish there were more activities we haven’t done in games before ? Yes but also you are supposed to be on the run lol

Yeah feature creep is a real risk. The question I find interesting is how far should a sandbox go

I'm not in game development but I think it really is that hard

You surf irl - think about that paddling s*** yall do while waiting for a wave, the crouching on the board before standing, adjusting for balance, how many different ways you can fall off the board depending on how the wave hits you. How much mocap and animations would be required specifically for this one activity

And that's before even getting into the actual game design mechanics. Can players just surf anytime they want in the open world or will it be limited to icons on the map? If it's the former, how are players actually going to get their board to deep water? If players can run around carrying surfboards, are they gonna be allowed to use surfboards as a melee weapon? Now they have to do mocap, animations and coding for hitting people with a surfboard too. It's really not that simple imo

    Now you got me fantasizing

I think boards can stay in the trunk of a vehicle or even require a roof rack. Alternatively they can be carried on foot or stored in a house or in a boat

There could be an app like Surfline that notifies you if good conditions and allows you to accept or decline a “pin” on that time/location. That’s what prompts the session and wave conditions

And there can be a corona on the beach and/or wave location to begin your session that you have to reach on foot or by board to begin the session

If they’ve perfected driving, this could be the final full GTA game for 20 years. They could just do a load of standalone single play DLC like they have done in the past.

I care more about the sandbox of things necessary for main story mechanics than optional things . It’s why I’m saying will we choose what d**** we sell and other choice mechanics. San Andreas has a dance mini game but it’s not an activity you can do wherever

It’s never been in a gta before . By this logic why not parasailing , sailing , roller coasters . Why not every single possible real life activity in Florida ? Why not skateboarding with a trick system ? Repoman side quest . Identity fraud .

You are supposed to be on the run lol

Would you say the Yakuza series deviates from this philosophy or the minigames add to the core of the story? Cus the random feeling mini game stuff is what I see from some devs in the East at times
