While our day-to-day operations won’t have any noticeable changes, with Rockstar’s support, we are going to continue to improve our platform and we are truly excited for what this means for our users, community, and creators!

And for those curious about what else Rockstar is working on, please understand that our partnership with Rockstar Games is focused on our FiveM and RedM platforms. So please, do not ask us about the next GTA!

Knowing how Rockstar has treated GTA Online they'll put a ton of paywalls in that s*** too. They'd make so much more money off console RP too

This could mean that the map is so big and that RP Servers might hold a lot of players even though it's already possible. Curious what this means in the long run, but clealry more intended for the next GTA. Could this mean the game's not coming soon?

It's not a W for the modding community, Rockstar can delete whatever they don't like and monetize mods at will if they'd like to make them "official"

They could turn s*** into 2k easily, paying for custom vehicles, custom guns, etc. Modder doesn't comply? We can shut that s*** down, can't use it on your server unless you let us monetize.

More likely means that the game is nearly done and now they want to implemente the RP stuff. Still coming out between 2024 and the end 2025, doesn't change anything

What sets me off is that if they somehow implement it into Online, there's gonna be a lot of trolls and s***.

Reverse engineer what? For single player any mods can be fair game, but for RP servers that all go through fiveM is where the mods would be affected.

Unless someone wants to create a new server client, which Rockstar could still shutdown. They could've shutdown fiveM if they wanted to, it exists in a grey area, but Rockstar still has the legal right to can any alternative competitor and I assume would considering they've made this purchase.
