Will SimpI think it's ridiculous that while I'm waiting for VI, my closest options to scratch that itch are games like Watch Dogs 2, Cyberpunk, Mafia 3. But actually playing Cyberpunk and seeing how these guys can't even get a wanted system right like Rockstar did 20+ years ago makes me feel like maybe the rest of the industry should just leave this kind of game to Rockstar tbh
Watch dogs 2 is surprisingly super fun. I never beat it but I remember having a blast.

People complaining that rockstar isn’t marketing enough so yeah they will. Plenty of these kids have daddy’s money it isn’t earned.

Nah competition is good. I understand that R* got pockets deep enough to iterate their games to a spit-polish degree, but I would love to see more open worlds outside of Rockstar, no matter how modest.
I know you're right but everytime I play something like Sleeping Dogs/Cyberpunk/Mafia, I end up disappointed because it's just not GTA
Kinda amazing how they've managed to set the template for game mechanics in open world sandboxes that everyone copies but nobody has been able to nail it quite like Rockstar can, even after all this time - _Stringer
