·1 replyhuey p rxcanthe fact that they're wishy washy on it tho leads me to believe they're closer to it than we would think, but they might not be able to make it happen without sacrificing rockstar level quality, or how the game was intended to be played
i imagine the vehicle and population density are actually integral to the core gameplay loop and there's certain graphic settings they're not willing to compromise on for the 60fps setting
otherwise i just see them saying its not possible on release but they're working on pushing for an update that can take it there

im leaning on, wont happen for this console generation even the ugpraded models
but behind the scenes they have a decent build that can run it 60fps consistently. i could see them totally just dropping it even if most consumers think it looks good enough

95% of the devs havnt even played the game as it is now and are locked to custom portions of the game and just the s*** they worked on. They are going to be playing it for the first time with us next month lol. only the very higher ups really know the full scope of the game. Just how game dev works with a team of this size

giving such a vague response on 60fps is weird to me, i dont know why they just can't outright deny it. part of me feels like they're trying to push the limits enough already and may have some of the team still working on trying to get it there, but it seems like an impossible feat with the current technology
They’ve said they will keep trying but basically at launch should just say 30fps I feel like companies don’t want the possibility of improvements left out

how do they quality test a game like this? if devs are given free reign to do what they want and give extra TLC to minute arbitrary details, what is done to ensure the game doesn't break???
I imagine the systems are stress tested separately/in different departments to a spit-shine degree, then guys like Rob will play the whole game as intended, flagging what needs adjusting as they play along

Someone knows everything that’s in game just separated . Without knowing some things there would be no way to test some of it for breaks . Each group has their own area of oversight .
