But do you see how if its someones livelihood and they can hear varying opinions its crazy that someone who spends 60$ on something which is max 10 hours of minimum wage work is insecure ?

10 hours of someones life vs countless hours of a devs life and multiple years. If the sales are well especially . If the sales are trash , the reviews trash even if no layoffs do you realize how low morale is?

A working a game for mutliple years even 5 years of your life and even if no layoffs you keep your job you are in the credits of an absolute stinker and used your free will to make a game that the public hates

Imagine the staff of bethesda working on Starfield for 8 years of your life including pandemic years. Excited to drop it to get solid reviews. Low over sales have people trash it and immediately want the next game form you which you know is another 6 to 7 years out.

there arent many jobs where you can drop a 40-100 hour product for the consumer and they immediately say "yo this s*** trash try again " . Not even buy your product .

I can tell you the staff at netherrealm even with good reviews , record sales, some awards for accessiblity still entirely bummed by upper management handling of the live service part of the game, movelist being wrong in the game at launch, lack of scope

hearing management say "our competition isnt street fighter its Madden"

only to have street fighter be the better fighting game even if they lost in sales. Sales isnt all people care about . Review scores arent all people care about and take pride in.

I would also like to add the entire notion of "them OG niggas don't work there any more". Lots of game dev getting cut off at the knees by

1. suits/producers who only paying attention to numbers

And 2. Corny ass yes men game devs who don't have taste and no heart to push past their comfort zone and make dope s***. Can't take criticism

Like im scared that Houser left. The GAMEPLAY looks dope but the story impressions have been so vague and detached that im super curious to see what the end result is. And I know rockstar had to funnel in new blood; people who've been laid off from some other disaster game that got shut down for whatever reason. The whole game dev ecosystem rn weird and rocky as s***. Where yes men get pushed forward because they can satisfy the suits

Brother that post is where I clearly responded to you and implied you cant read and are stupid. Because other users read that post and didnt at alll get emotoional because they read it as a genuine question. We dicussed framerate further on that page. No one threw a fit or acted like they couldnt understand it or a b**** but you. Multiple users .
