MattMVice city is GOATed for this game, don't get the criticism
That being said, it would be dope if we were to move to Tokyo or Paris or something like that for the next entry - just something completely new and never been done before by Rockstar
Sleeping Dogs was amazing because it was basically GTA in Hong Kong, just imagine an actual GTA set in an asian megalopolis
The only international city that could potentially be done is London. And that’s because of its crime and gang lore.

I think the only city that would work outside of the US would be Tokyo tbh
it would be cool, but I feel that the Yakuza comparisons would be never ending (even though the games are nothing alike people are dumb like that)

I'd be interested to see Rockstar try it out but even if they didn't intend to be racist it would just seem kinda weird for an American company to make a game that basically criticizes another culture (it works in America because Rockstar is American and basically making fun of themselves) which is kinda what GTA is
That's just the way I see it. Rockstar could do it but they'd have to really do something interesting with the writing and also obviously spend a s*** load of time in Japan getting an understand of their culture and their underworld

US cities are perfect because they offer so much
For example we are going to have Miami and for sure lots of other smaller cities and places too because Florida is absolutely massive
