I personally don’t mind and I’m very curious to see what rockstar does with the female protagonist. But! I’m getting the sense Rockstar is going the Disney route with the virtue signaling and catering to the left as far as inclusion and being more sensitive to social matters. Taking away from what rockstar games is known for as far as provocative subject matters.

It doesn’t help knowing that all the writers that made GTA and RDR are no longer at rockstar. I have a feeling this s*** finna be like saints row. But we’ll see

There's nothing wrong with inclusion and being more sensitive to social matters imo. They can do all that and still poke fun at both the left and the right. They're just adjusting with the times, that edgy humor doesn't really connect with most people anymore

I think RDR might be a good blueprint for the tone this game should take when it comes to humor. Like remember that mission where this guy asks you to get flowers and s*** for his wife, he invites you in to meet her and it's her rotting corpse The type of s*** you don't see coming and gets shocked laughs out of you, that's what I think they should go for. GTA 5 was too loud/over the top imo

fr this isn't that big of a deal, though to be fair I feel like the article kind of framed this change as very significant so we'll see. replaying the OG trilogy when the remaster dropped I found some of the humor a bit elementary and cringey, though its not like I was offended. I don't think its a bad idea to grow up a little bit from "lol guy in a dress" or the frequent oftentimes not at all clever 69/dick jokes
