Game developers/publishers can't do that because of expected margins they need to report to shareholders/investors and Rockstar dropping the most successful games in the entire industry so they definitely can't announce a date just a few months before release

Also the date would probably just leak before they announce it anyway with the number of people they have working on these games, the marketing etc and the amount of interest there is

When Trump/Congress pass a bill banning violent video games (detailed in P2025 btw) by the end of the year so it ensures we’ll never play it because of the delay.

Oh yea I think $100 for gta vi is justified just based on the sheer scale of the game and rockstars track record. They’re truly the only AAAA studio who deserve that title.

Yeah, some gamers will refuse to pay it. But I don't want to test gamers and see if they'll conform or not. Generally, when it comes to scams and overpricing, they eventually bend the knee.
