I mean I want the story to be good as it can be. Doesn't need to be 70 hours tbh that would drag. But when I get annoyed about this I try to remember how many moving parts there are to a game like GTA and having to test every inch of that s*** (especially this new game which is probably more ambitious than we expect)

But having said all that lmao they full of s*** just randomly dropping that off when they have know internally for months that this was the case. To have a game as gargantuan as a GTA title that's launching in a year, they undoubtedly have to have footage that is ready to show even if the game is not completed per se. They could have thrown 2 freaking measly screenshots if not a trailer. But whatever Rockstar knows it can do whatever and the people will still buy once the game drops. To be clear no game company owes me a damn thing except a quality product when I purchase their merchandise. But still at a certain point it's like y'all are being d***s man lol.

It's hard to believe the PS5 will be 6 year old hardware next year too. Crazy because we only have a handful of amazing exclusives and we usually get a new system every 7 or so years. Still feels like this gen hasn't barely started. But anyway I was wondering if this is going to be a cross gen title for the ps6. Possibly a launch title for when that comes out inevitably sometime late in 2027 most likely

I'm sure the game will be great. But when any piece of media has a MASSIVE budget, that also tells me that it'll probably be the safe, inoffensive, takes as little risk possible, and have the broadest appeal imaginable.(Gotta cater to those shareholders and investors).

Game will probably be good, but the massive amount of disappointment is inevitable, as the game will most likely be safe af, and exactly what you would imagine a GTA6 would be like

I don't imagine this game will have some innovative new mechanics that revolutionize of the series or gaming. It just be a technically impressive game.

The game is going to be profitable no matter what. But there's no guarantee that the game will be so successful that its still raking in billions 10+ years later, like GTA5. There's no guarantee that fans will enjoy the new GTA Online as much as the 1st GTA Online. There could easily be a reality where its successful, but not AS successful as GTA5. Despite GTA always being popular, GTA5's success is unprecedented, and transcended into a level above "Extremely popular".

When they're given a blank check, they're not just expected to put out a success. they're expected to put out as success even bigger than the previous success. Hence, why it will probably be safe. It's guaranteed to be the biggest launch in not just GTA history, but probably gaming history. But having GTA5 legs isnt guaranteed if its too left field for too many ppl

I'm fully expecting a blunder where gameplay is regressed in some way to appease to the zoomers and the game will be a far cry from what we know old GTA for.

And make no mistake, this isn't some "polishing to make it perfect" situation, I guarantee the s*** will be buggy at launch. This is entirely to keep the GTA Online cash cow going for as long as possible.
