Im debating between Xbox and PS5. RDR2 had a higher internal res on the one X compared to the PS4 Pro, who knows if they’ll stick to that this gen tho. Series X on paper is more powerful, but there are very few devs who still care to optimize for it. Plus there’s the ps5 pro to consider, but doubt I’ll ever cop unless I can find one sub $400.

Really hoping Digital Foundry are allowed to put their console reviews up before launch so I can decide. Will be buying day 1 on PC as well to really max it out

As long as it is immersive as red dead 2 I am so f***ing in. I need that slight rpg element… maybe some more realistic vehicle physics, but I won’t complain much without if I can just drive realistic cars performance wise lol. I am interested to see if Dan houser was the sauce behind all of the story & backstory elements however.. I’d love a more grounded take geared towards anybody but middle schoolers lol. It seems like the love story element may be more realistic in terms of character arc on initial speculation

I love the GTA V gameplay way more than GTA IV but IV has a (slightly) better story but also VI really doesn't have to be serious like IV. You know what I'll just let them cook

V was one of worst stories with great game play but unfortunately lacked rpg elements

Imma keep it a buck, when it comes to rpg elements, I can take em or leave em. Like, it would be cool if they're included on some GTA San Andreas type s*** but I won't be mad if we don't get an extended RPG system. Knowing they did RDR2, we're most likely getting something

Sounds like you have a good plan. I upgraded my tv to a 65’ OLED Sony Bravia 8 II, in addition to my PS5 Pro. I also bought a Bose soundbar with the Bass Module, and finally an ASTRO A50X headset. I have been saving up for some time now, and it paid off because I’m not lacking in any department. Maybe I could buy some Bose surround speakers, but other than that, I’m good.

I think I’m at a good spot right now. If they come out with a GTA 6 PS5 controller, then I may upgrade to that too.

To my best recollection, I think they were able to nail the story/plot down before Dan left, so we should be ok in that department I feel. 7 will be the real test though (whenever that releases in the far future)

Well... I think you should wait before getting a PS5 because I think once DF says how much the PS5 Pro version is better so will you wish that you waited and tried to find a PS5 Pro for under 650-750 dollars.

But yeah I've a PS5 Pro and and a 4K OLED TV which has 120 Hz so yeah I am ready for GTA VI!
