    That was so fun

And the one where y'all be wearing big ass suits and blasting the cop cars with machine guns and they're exploding..that was a fun one. Kidnapping the dude from the office and escaping via helicopters was also great. Need to replay this campaign now

    Replay them all

The entirety of the story is forgettable . The worst main characters . Great city driving shooting . Less RPG mechanics .

Can you name your favorite mission in the game where you do something unique

Shooting down that plane and chasing it across the whole map as it crashed always stuck out to me

Feel like another aspect of this release that’s kind of been overlooked that’s contributing to its hype is the fact that the “GTA clone” is basically dead at this point.

There aren’t really any other AAA open world games set in modern, urban environments anymore.

Only noteworthy one we’ve gotten this gen is Cyberpunk, and that’s kind of it.

Nah there were a lotta fun and unique moments I mean I think that’s what gta 5’s story was known for

But you can tell they ditched the rpg elements due to the fact that they went with 3 main characters and the weight of their actions wouldn’t hit the same like it did in IV

They could incorporate the rpg stuff in VI tho like the individual choices we make with the couple effect their relationship and ending

Wdum by RPG mechanics? Because V brought what little RPG type stats they introduced in SA back after it was absent in IV

Also, you really that serious about the social media aspect? Like if this game has Max Payne 3 level satisfying shooting, IV level storytelling, great driving, customisation, varied mission design with greater player freedom but a social media mechanic is integrated in the game - you're going to hold off from buying? Either way I don't think there's been anything to show it's gonna play a heavy role and I trust Rockstar not to go Arkham Knight Batmobile style overboard with it but that being a deciding factor for you is wild to me

Also hit me a couple of weeks back. Right now there's an itch in gaming for an open world crime/chaos game that only Rockstar can scratch. Franchises like Saints Row/Watch Dogs fell off, Sleeping Dogs/True Crime are dormant IPs, the Lego/anime knockoffs not giving people the realism we want. Not sure why other AAA developers haven't tried to fill the gaps in between the long waits for GTA with their own similar type of game, seems like guaranteed money

All the founders of rockstar have left . All of them . It’s fair to want to see gameplay and get an idea of what’s going on . People just want a trailer . I specifically want a gameplay walkthrough. lol I don’t care if it looks photo realistic I want to see mechanics.

There’s interesting things they can do for sure I’m interested to see what they accomplish

Yep watchdogs , saints , sleeping dogs gone . It’s a tough game to make with a focus on graphics , attention to detail especially if you don’t have multiplayer to make it a live service to offset cost of long dev time

That billion dollar budget will show everybody why the GTA clone is dead. Other potential IPs are better off doing their own thing without chasing the proverbial Moby D***. Dense and compact is the way to go.

  • Open world games are not guaranteed money . They are expensive to make with that amount of detail . CPU heavy and frame rate . If you want a living breathing world that’s a lot of work . Then again no multiplayer you aren’t making crazy money . GTA vi is being made because the gta v online multiplayer money . If multiplayer didn’t take off to that degree would be made at a much faster clip drop and keep going . Like iv multiplayer.

Can’t sell a living breathing world without also nailing the live service aspect . Which not many can do . Developers not risking competing with gta to end in shutdowns . We did use to have more sandbox games mercenaries , watchdogs , sleeping dogs , saints row but again none really did multiplayer like that .

The games shifted to linear like heavy linear to guarantee players beat the game . Fable is cool for having and showing npcs you can interact with . Technology only so there . Glad rockstar took time to make engine that can support what they are creating running on these consoles and beyond

Exactly no one can afford to work on something this long and have no gameplay out but gta
