A lot of key people left after finalising the synopsis of GTA 6 and Rockstar only really cared about GTA 5 and Online for the past 10 years
I mean RDR2 started development after GTA 5, got developed, launched, introduced RDR Online and killed it altogether before GTA Online stopped getting updates, let alone GTA 6
But RDR2 was highly detailed and an entirely different experience . Like logically there was no reason to rush GTA VI especially on PS4, Xbox One when technology wise they could only do so much more and the character switch mechanic was
Even RDR2 struggled to run on those consoles
I am glad they waited 10 years in between GTA V and VI because GTA V was meh to me. They needed time to learn some from RDR 2 production and grow as a team. Get out of their crunch culture and GTA V Online served us everything we needed. I don't really understand people fiending for GTA VI like they need it now when many of us didn't like V more than IV or San Andreas.
Especially when if you wanted GTA V Online been there for 10 years with a slew of content.
V was great but definitely felt like perfecting RAGE Engine and the s***ty optimization IV had other than revolutionizing the video game industry
Realism really killed video games eversince watch dogs
And this isn 't even good realism
lolololololol
From a monetary point of view there would be no incentive for Rockstar to do anything other than publish GTA 6 and maintain Online for years, they couldn't care about any other games and they're sure as hell not spending another 10 years working on GTA 7
Next GTA is coming out in 2045 or something
I mean the leaks are all true and we will get multiple big cities as DLCs over the time. We're not getting a new GTA for at least 20 years

Well yeah why would they drop GTA 7 after building an engine to make GTA VI. Like why are y'all mad at supporting a game for years if the engine, technology stay the same the most they would do otherwise is dlc and online because thats what retains gameplay?
I am confused on what you all are really saying

This is early alpha at best
some of y'all are losing your minds
"As of August 2022, Grand Theft Auto V has sold 170 million units worldwide. First released in 2013, GTA V is one of the best-selling video games of all time."
Yeah "hot takes"

alot of these gameplay details reminds me of mgsv if these similarities make it to the final product of gta6, it might have the best gameplay ever no cap
like a combination of mgsv and rdr2

Can not understand looking at this footage and thinking it’s going to be anything like the final product
Can not understand looking at this footage and thinking it’s going to be anything like the final product
Nobody thinks that here itt
When it's 2045, GTA VI is 20 years in, there's no GTA VII and Rockstar hasn't dropped a single singleplayer DLC
Nobody thinks that here itt
I’d beg to differ

Cause video game development is getting more and more pricey and Rockstar have managed to milk GTA 5 for 9 years already
I think they'd rather just coast off GTA 6's hype for a lot of years and make it the best possible game over spending another 5-6-7 years on a GTA 7 and so on
I just don't see them making anymore games after GTA 6, it would be too tedious and wouldn't net them as much in return as milking GTA 6 in the same time frame
Hell there were a lot of rumors that GTA 5 was gonna be the last GTA they make
Can not understand looking at this footage and thinking it’s going to be anything like the final product
I forget some of these kids are young as f*** and they have never seen a leak, alpha footage or footage throughout the game development process in their entire life.
Some of Twitter is being the same way too when its like you have access to watch on youtube the early development of some of your favorite games. You got people on here saying "there won't be another GTA for 20 years omg ". Like calm down
When gta 7 leaks drop in 2050 and my kids think they look mid and I ground them and say ‘common my offspring L’

Do you even know about GTA 4/5? Lol

all this says to me is gaming is dying
