It downloads the files. But checks if you own the game / if it’s out. If you don’t it doesn’t launch.
Put in the disc once you receive the game and it would instantly launch skipping the download from disc
Crazy the amount of cool stuff Xbox did this gen that people just don’t know about

You can “preload” any Xbox game before preload. It just downloads a 300mb placeholder file and shows the tile on your home screen and library. Once actual preload comes out it downloads the actual files. Just a fun thing to pre add games to your library you’re already gonna buy / are on gamepass

Collectors edition and digital sounds nice . Part of me wants to keep a collectors edition sealed . It’s so low to preorder and you can pay over the next 5 months

Like if you are talking 90-100 okay but it’s 10 more dollars . Reasonsbly they could charge 70 just for the single player and have multiplayer be a separate add on . This really isn’t a bad deal for the amount of work and hours of content .

People keep saying this sets a precedent when gta is a billion dollar franchise it’s not comparable to random games . All game prices are rising because the cost of everything is raising . The cost of inflation to pay employees properly goes somewhere. Yes I get take two profits big either way but their projections take into account these losses partially from the delays too . Additional labor
Get your money up not your funny . Put in them extra hours
