They didnt reach out to travis 😂 travis was sending his music to kanyes engineer over time his name is Anthony Killhoffer and he liked his progress over the time he was sending stuff over so he brought Travis in to work on music for Kanye during WTT sessions and then thats how that started. Aint no issue with that either its just that other people dont know how the game works and end up playing themselves. People who think theyre just going to blow up out of nowhere by just posting music isn’t gonna do that but they like to play that story. Even russ likes to play that story about a song a week but he also says less often that he was doing that for a while and it didnt work until he really started getting into marketing and trying to make connections.
