There’s so much music releasing every day now that 2 years can go by and an artist that doesn’t drop can fade into the background pretty easily. There wasn’t even much hype for the album when it was announced, at least not as much as there would’ve been if he dropped it a year ago

Honest is a fire project with multiple hits how could this possibly compare

Because he made the project for his core fans and won them back

He was going a more poppy route

Honest was mostly seen as a dud when it dropped. It wasn’t as bad as this Roddy album cause it had a couple hits but it was seen as a miss at the time.

Then the reception from that album as well as breaking up w his girl made him drop monster and that’s the beginning of the future everyone knows today

I remember. I liked the project when it came out though, and in context it wasn’t a super flop. It came out at the worst possible time numbers wise.

Honest? Yes he was. Real & True with Miley. He was really leaning into being "crossover"
