Rodeo is a walmart version of a kanye album before travis found his sound yeezus is kanye at his most unapologetic and real and solid no fake religion gimmicks

YEEZUS LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE 2010’s but I like them both so I win either way

  • Sep 26, 2020

This nigga compared the album with the T.I. intro with the one with BOTL

I still listen to the album in real life. Just because you don’t see it in your life doesn’t mean people ain’t still bumping it

As a whole it's closer than people make out

But the highs of Yeezus are better than anything Travis has put out imo.

Pablo washes Birds and Astro too. Trav is great, but he's just not ye

lol, in the US would have probably been accurate in 2013. especially in the mainstream

my favourite ye flows are lr or mbdtf tho tbh

  • Sep 26, 2020

    rodeo by a large margin

  • Sep 26, 2020

rodeo is a fusion between DBR and yeezus. to me, travis' best album. it took a lot of time for yeezus to grow on me. I love black skinhead, hold my liquor, bound 2. those are the standout tracks but since it's not Kanye's best album, I'll give rodeo the edge.

i thought a lot of people liked black skinhead, bound, blood on the leaves and new slaves at least anyway.

they're just used to ye making an album full of singles

Death Grips we’re the closest even though YEEZUS and Death grips sound nothing alike. Never got why they compared those two

    yeah it's a lazy comparison

yeezus was a commercial comeback in the uk for kanye. it went #1, mbdtf didn't go top 10. i've always seen it through that world

yeezus has Hudson Mohawke production right? there's other uk producers on it too and Benji B who's big on that sound. some of the synths sound like london in 2003

kanye went onto sample wiley on later projects too

it's weird that harsh sound doesn't go over as well with younger fans in the us. in the uk, youth have reacted to that harsher sounds in multiple eras and it's made stars.

i don't think astroworld or recent tracks like the plan are garbage but they're not peak kanye
