I wrote this in astro thread but removed it as its off topic
Excerpt from new rolling Stone article about astro world promoters, apparently one of the promoters punched an old employee in the face.
It was the final night of the 2018 Neon Desert festival in El Paso, Texas, when David Tran claims his boss punched him in the face. Tran — who was then an assistant to Sascha Stone Guttfreund, president and co-founder of festival producer ScoreMore — tells Rolling Stone he had pocketed some leftover cash at the box office after he says another worker told him it was OK. Tran says Guttfreund accused him of stealing and, one way or the other, he ended up jobless. But first, according to Tran, Guttfreund punched him. “I fell back because I was just kind of shocked that this even happened,” he says.
Is it just.me or is dude who got punched very clearly in the wrong? Punching isnt the right move but the dude literally stole and does pikachu surprised face when he gets fired
He was the ASSISTANT to the PRESIDENT of the festival production company and he listened to some random worker (the article just says "another worker") this guy clearly had more authority but hes listening to a random worker and STOLE "leftover cash"
EXCUSE ME? Wtf is leftover cash? Theres no such thing as leftover money and regardless nobody listens to someone lower in position than them about money issues and nobody in their right mind pockets money from the box office, thats not ur money
Ya ya man ik, it’s like they really think I’m gonna read all that bullshit they just wrote
Rolling Stone has been disreputable for a number of years. Handful of "big" stories they broke were falsified. Squandered what little credibility they had left this century
didnt read op but garbage publication
Assault was way too far but dude definitely was a dumbass who deserved to be fired lmao
Uhhhhh where was assault justified in this statement
It definitely wasnt. I said punching wasnt the right move in op tho
Just saying dudes an idiot who deserved to get fired n rolling Stone making it seem like he lost his job for no reason
“Another worker said it was ok” is a wild excuse lol not even a supervisor? yeah the way this is presented in the article is pretty funny
