that era does deserve to be put on a pedestal for guitar and singer-songwriter music imo, especially by rolling stone. it make sense, the iconic legacy they built in that era is the only thing keeping them relevant in 2020
I do think theres huge classics from that time and their influence is undeniable but it just irked me seeing like 3 Beatles albums in the top 10 in the list they had before and like top 100 was mostly 70s albums. In this list at least theyre not afraid to give high placings to newer albums
