Ur saying she’s not a good artist. Either way only hipsters and music snob elitists saying s*** like that
I’m not a snob, my favourite rapper is Drake who once again ironically can have the same arguments made against but he has other facets of his music beyond his image.

lol...beyonce has way more facets.
Her music is so agenda’d and filled with gimmicks.
There is nothing interesting about Beyoncé both artistically or from a personal level. Her music reflects that sadly.
Since her self titled her music has been about making headlines with the surprise drop and the video for every song etc what is left behind is that it’s not good.
Formulaic song structure, horrible writing for the most part and vocally she can always yell but she’s not a good singer at all.
Every album she will make is going to be a classic and a pop culture event because Beyoncé has made it but she’s not a good artist.
I get what you mean. Sometimes it feels like there's always a pr stunt ("you gon lose your wife" in Don't Hurt Yourself, "sometimes s*** go down when there's a billion $ on a elevator" in Flawless, etc) and then a bunch of visuals on top of the music. Almost like a distraction from the actual music.
That's why I say she has impact in the industry, but not on music, the art form itself. She's done nothing different from anyone else. Critics praise her for going her own lane and not trend-chasing, but Drunk In Love, Formation, Sorry, 7/11, Apeshit and Mi Gente and Perfect collabs... just about every single she released after 4 is radio centered and chased the trends of the time. Nothing wrong with it, especially since the full albums were different, it's just the industry telling us her music is revolutionary and some incredible never done before work of art, when it's not. What's she doing with her music that's necessarily different from her peers like Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Usher, Chris Brown? Nothing really if we're being honest. I wouldn't call her music terrible, but it's nothing we look at and go "wow, this is amazing" or "I've never heard that before".
I read an article or watched a Youtube video (can't remember which) and this scientist was talking about how her visual albums make the music seem better than it actually is. The visuals kinda distract you from the music. The music isn't anything special, but the visuals look really attractive with all the dancing and costumes and lighting and colors so you end up attaching the visuals to the song and now you think the song is better. Meanwhile someone (a non-fan and unbiased person) who only listens and has never seen the music video won't get the hype to why it's so amazing as the music is nothing different from everything else. Pretty interesting actually.
This is why I say she's losing a catalog or like a verzuz battle against more artists than you think because a lot of it doesn't stand out. She doesn't have a weak catalog, but if you put her against one of her contemporaries like Mary J Blige or Brandy, even Rihanna, her catalog is getting exposed tbh. Not saying she's losing against all of them, but they'd make her work harder than you would think.
Even tho I love the album it’s obvious they only put it no. 1 cause it’s so relevant to what’s going on in America right now
Yeah figured
It's still an amazing album, obviously most of the posters who complained about it being #1 probably skimmed through it once.
I still cant at Taylor Swift getting 2 spots for mid albums when great acts like The National, FKA twigs, Sufjan Stevens, The War On D**** etc... are snubbed
out of everything to be mad about, y’all picking on Lemonade?
this site will never stop being anti black women.

Janet Jackson is also a black woman, wtf. People are criticising Beyonce in particular.
So where exactly is "Fetch The Bolt Cutters" by Fiona Apple?
Has a 98 on Metacritic from 28 reviews and was Pitchfork's first 10 in a decade. I personally didn't like the album but was the reception warranted or did critics just jerk themselves to the entire situation regarding the pandemic?
You'd think an album as big as this would end up on this list considering recent releases have.

I agree with most of this tbh.
She chasing trends and trying to create moments which to her benefit she absolutely does cause she’s Beyoncé.
She can’t make good music and definitely isn’t top 500 album ever but she’s a marketers dream.
I really do like her song XO though. Perfect pop song.

She’s probably the most egregious that’s why.
They have her trash above Ok Computer. Just imagine that.
WAIT MISEDUCATION IS 10.
LMAO OUT

Confessions should be Top 100, it's better than Every Drake , Beyonce and Taylor Swift album.
