Looking at the tweet replies to Able’s tweet and people are really telling themselves that that wasn’t a wonderfully scripted, directed, and acted scene over… over I don’t even know what, maybe they just want to seem cool and easy to offend, but I don’t get it at all.
That dialogue was perfect in showcasing the strengths and weaknesses of each character involved, and it was acted very well.

And honestly, I haven’t seen the show, so until it releases and I get a chance to view it I can’t be certain, but this controversy of “the show is glorifying SA” or whatever just sounds like people with no media literacy lashing out because a show portrayed something that made them uncomfortable.
If I had to guess, the cult leader guy is gonna be a s***pest, and they are going to present him as charismatic, accurate to someone who could lead a cult, and rolling stone misconstrued the fact that the s***pest is charismatic as glorifying his actions, because the writer of the op ed has a room temperature IQ.
AGAIN: I will reevaluate that position after the show comes out, if it looks like it was handled poorly.
However, I have seen a literal dozen, maybe more, perfectly reasonable and sometimes even good shows be bashed for “glorifying” this or that because the writers needed something to fuel their outrage clicks that week.

Are you sure he wasn't talking about the character he plays?
